Well I saw it sooo much that my bluray copy of it melted
I'm not a kid BTW

Wow, Optimus's death really made every 80s child's day go bad.

yes I saw it with my dad and brother. My brother was quite upset at everyone dying and my dad had to take him out. I was just sitting there kind of in shock and I don't remember the ending I think I fell asleep at some point during the movie. I remember on the way home my dad was quite upset that a kids cartoon would do that (killing everyone off)

thanks to dsn1014 for the sig! I AM A WOMAN!!

Saw it in the theaters as well. Seeing Prime go dark blew my mind. I remember talking to my friends after saying "why didn't they take that stuff they rubbed on Ultramagnus and go fix Prime!". lol. Spike swearing was fun too, since I was just a little fella.

The ease at which guys like Iron Hide and Prowl died kinda blew me away too. We were so used to seeing the G1 cartoons where no one died, no one hardly ever got hit by any weapons.
My feedback * My sales thread * My wants

I was 8. Went with my brother that was 5 and my neighbor that was my age. We were all upset when Optimus died. For me it kind of killed the show for me as he was my favorite, but not my love for all things Transformers. I thought the series died off when G1 went off the air. When I saw the teaser for the movie in 2007 I nearly crapped my pants. It brought me back and I discovered this world I had been missing all along.

Say SMS55, you were aware Optimus returned on the 3rd season right?

Nah, I was born in 1988. So I never saw it until I was in maybe 8th grade? Like when I was 13 years old I think. I was REALLY into Beast Wars of course. When I learned that it was a continuation of the old show I always rented tapes that the local video store had of G1, and that included the movie.

And I absolutely love the old movie. Easily one of my favorite animated movies of all time.
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.
