My absolute favorite is Optimus in the alley. Really, all TF1 transformations were absolutely awesome.

The way Optimus pumps his fist into boxing position in Tf1 made him look like he was primed and ready for battle. That will always be my favorite one.

Blackout has to be my favorite......most of the transformers seem to shift large piece of them around during transformation, but Blackout's first transformation starts with what seems like thousands of little piece shifting........never will forget that.

Yeah, his entire tail section (forgive the layman's aerial term) shifts and separates into smaller pieces, becoming virtually non-existant; as opposed to his voyager figure's massive "cape".

It's almost like your eyes don't know where to look because it's so complex. I remember first seeing his transformation in theatres and my eyes constantly shifting focus because some little detail from his transformation would catch my eye, and then I'd look back and see that his entire front section had changed, and then look back to his rotors which were wobbling and then suddenly he was rising. Love it.

My favourite transformations are the ones that can be replicated with toys. HA Jazz can almost perfectly replicate the first time we see Jazz transform in the alley (his rear panel with the spoiler should rotate 180 degrees and his headlights should be on his wrists, but everything syncs up otherwise and the poses can be matched all the way through). Sidearm Sideswipe can transform the same way we see Sideswipe for the first time in Singapore. DOTM Ratchet's transformation is nearly spot-on for TFTM Ratchet in the alley. Incedentally, these are some of my favorite figures out of the entire toyline.

Blackout's is also a favorite of mine too, mostly for the same reason.

No surprise here but I liked Jazz's the best, he spins then does a handstand and flips onto his feet. Awesome
Obviously I'm Jazz's #1 fangirl...yes I said girl

I've always liked Starscream transforming coming and going when Ironhide yells "IT'S STARSCREAM!" after he tears shit up.

Nice thread. I think (typical as it may be) I liked the slow motion and mid air transformations where you get such a nice look at them shifting to bot mode. Like when the Dreads jumped the signs and transformed in the air, running the moment they hit the ground, then soon after that the slow-mo scene where the collided with Ironhide.

Its not super noticable, but there was a part near the end of DOTM where the autobots were attacking Sentinel Prime. Bumblebee snuck in, got some hits, then leaped back from SP's blade attack, falling into car mode and jumping a ramp backwards. It happened fast but looked awesome.
