Bay got about 15 'forests of tree money' from ROTF Bay got about 50 'forests of tree money' from DOTM Trust me they made Avatar for around the same as DOTM and didnt fill it with useless crap and we still got to see tons of CGI stuff for hours on end. CGI is not that difficult, especially if its entirely CGI. The scene`s on Cybertron are probably the cheapest (Though time consuming) to make.

We get it. War on Earth, humans will be there. We already got the fucking lectures about kinetics, fuel air explosives, missiles and all the other bang bang stuff various armies hold in their arsenal to ruin the enemy's shit. It was good fun in Independence Day, a rollicking good time in Battle: Los Angeles and if you're into the Navy, it was probably awesome in Battleship (whatever other merits it may lack) but in Transformers, for the most part it came across as obnoxious. In my mind, the battles against the Decepticons should have been like fighting the Reapers in Mass Effect. That way when a victory is pulled off, it actually feels like one instead of a forgone conclusion. ![]() "It is necessary to get fully behind someone before you can stab them in the back" ---Sir Humphrey Appleby.

In Captain America you have the military involved because Cap isn't going to take down all of Nazi Germany by himself. But when it comes to the important part of who can stop Hydra and the Red Skull then Cap is the man to save the day. The military in the Transformers movies should be like the cops in Spiderman 2. They show up to prove they aren't just sitting back doing nothing while Doc Ock is robbing banks and tearing up the city, but it feels like only Spiderman can stop Doc Ock. I guess we should be glad Toho studios has never let Micheal Bay near a Godzilla movie or we'd have some guy with a grenade launcher kill Godzilla.
