I think a live-action crossover would be cool to see, but I agree with everyone else; let's have a well-made Joe movie first, shall we? Have G.I. Joe come into its own as a film franchise, then think about the crossover. Maybe.

Also, I think an animated direct-to-DVD Bayformers/Joe crossover would be better.

A silly, fun, bombastic and horribly made action film about soldiers and robots and futuristic technology? I'm game.

But, considering Sommers' has nothing to do with Retaliation (to my knowledge), nothing says he'd be involved at all. Providing the Transformers in the proposed crossover would be Bayformers, I'm sure Bay would want to be involved.

If they went animated with it I'd rather they go retro with it. G1 Decepticons might put up some sort of interesting fight with the help of Cobra. The Decepticons from the live action movies only seem to be good at dieing in large numbers when the humans show up to stomp just about anyone who isn't named Megatron or the Fallen.

Although if they set an animated movie before the events of Transformers Prime I could take a GI Joe/Transformers movie for that if they used live action Roadblock to argue with Cliffjumper instead of Renegades Roadblock.

This was back in 2009 when i thought about it plus they get a lot of flak "for doing it wrong."

In my own little universe where said crossover exists, the Decepticons aren't made of tin-foil.

Road-Rock and Cliff-Rock-Jumper? They can smell what the other is cookin'.

When TFP first came out I was sort of hoping for a potential Renegades/TFP crossover.

i would want an animated dvd movie (similar to the marvel dvd stuff coming out recently) that could lead to a possible series of dvd movies. the first should be a good self contained movie but set up a larger gi joe transformers universe.

they should take HEAVY inspiration from the classic sunbow toons. it should start just as the established joe and cobra organizations somehow become affiliated with the transformer factions. maybe they discover the crashed spaceships like the sunbow toon had crashed spaceships, or it could start kinda like idw did with a decepticon/autobot infiltration.

in the first movie, the joe/autobot team can triumph, but cobra and the decepticons strike back (pun intended) in the second movie. in the third movie the decepticons betray cobra and lead to a cobra/joe/autobot alliance that finally vanquishes the decepticons and saves the earth.
