Why couldn't they just use the Combaticons?

I guess budget was the main reason and they probably didn't think of that. It's a pity because TF1 Decepticons could actually fight so I'd like to a combiner.

Having most the Decepticons combine into one giant would have been AWESOME! Seeing the Bots get into a gunfight with it. Then have Lennox and his men climb up him and then shoot him in the face.

Also, I wish I wasn't sick of arguing about Megatron mental and physical capabilities because I'm tired of people thinking they shouldn't expect better. Especially when it comes it movie Decepticons.

Because if he did he'd get criticized for having the Decepticons take on military-only modes. The Constructicons proved they could suitably hide in civilian disguises.

For a huge army fanboy like Michael Bay, that's a waste! Wouldn't he fangasm over the idea of having a giant robot made of military vehicles in one like Bruticus?
Because they can't make movies for the fan and they have to make films for the average person and they don't know who the Combaticons are blah blah blah ad-nausea...

In other words- no real good reason.

And Sideways....and Barricade...and DOTM Soundwave.

Usually they also get one sports car per film.

Thanks, guys, but I think you may overestimate me. If I'm not getting all pissy about repeat threads or posting lame meme-reponse pictures, I'm pretty f**king useless. And this is one of those latter situations. I've pretty much said my piece, not sure if there's more to add on my part.

Why don't you go out and buy a Bugatti? Budget, I don't like the car, I don't have to listen to what one person wants....

Are you guys so insatiable, so insufferable, so bent on making sure Michael Bay so much as going to the bathroom is a worldwide offense, that when a hypothetical scenario is presented retrospectively for a movie made five years ago you're up in arms when it wasn't utilized? That is incredibly shallow and immature. Your "what-ifs" should remain as that, and any further is incredibly unconstructive.

I always thought replacing Tidalwave with Devestator was a bad move. having construction vechicles in the desert just looked out of place.

It was crystal clear that huge fight in the sea in the Rotf movie. was meant for tidalwave to transform & destroy everything in that sea battle.

Other than fight the twins & ripp apart that Pyramid. devestator didn't do much in the Rotf movie.

umm, Devastator ripping the pyramid apart kinda helped the cons cause he was the biggest one there. and even if Bruticus was there (or any other 'con combiner), they would have done the same thing. and making Devastator a munky, wasn't all that bad of a move cause then he was able to live up to his name and tear up the pyramid a little less awkwardly than a more humanoid-shaped gestalt would.
