I don't want stock troopers anymore where they only get 7 seconds of getting sliced in half by optimus, no. I want actual fights that take a little over a minute

That will most likely never happen. It would cost too much money.

 

Plus, TF4's budget is too low for that.

Even that might be too much, though I'd like to see it.

 

We don't know that for sure. Effects-heavy movies have been able to achieve quite a bit, even if they don't have the $195 million+ that DotM had.

Who knows? Maybe by cutting certain things out of the movie there could be the potential for Combiners. Whether or not they want Combiners in the movie is a completely different story. Maybe two Combiner teams would be the "giant CG setpiece de jour" of TF4, similar to Devastator and the Driller? They might make room in the budget specifically for that? But at this point in the game, we know virtually nothing of what they want or don't want to do, so anything is up for grabs in terms of things they can leave out and things they can include.

As I've said, personally, I'd rather they just have 1-2 new Autobots and a handful of new Decepticons, rather than focusing on something like Combiners again.

 

There should only be three Decepticons. The "phase sixers".

 

Prowl would be the only addition I would make.

 

Less Decepticons would actually have been an improvement. Instead of an armada of faceless protoforms, a set of specially picked Decepticons (Soundwave, Crankcase, Devastator, Devcon etc) would show up at Megatron's command to wreak havoc. It'd have provided them more time to show off their capabilities/personalities as well as provide a more equal footing with the Autobots. Look how many Decepticons there were in DOTM, and they ALL got their afts kicked with about less than ten lines each!

 

Still better than what we got in the previous two films if only because Laserbeak is just that much more awesome as a result of being the best Decepticon in the entire franchise.
