I always praised the pacing and timing of the film, that they managed to fit in all this action, but at the same time the film give us the time to have one final stand off between optimus and sentinel. While in TF1, the action only happens towards the last 30 mins, and ROTF happens in the first half of the film, the film slows down way to much and we have this huge gaping hole, and then it starts up again during the Egypt battle.

But I wanted to ask everyone, do you guys think has soon as the highway scene gets underway? is that when the film really takes off? not just when the invasion of Chicago begins

The action started as soon as Sentinel Prime was resurrected.

I wonder how it would have played out if the extra wasn't injured, and they didn't have to fill in the gaps with scenes from The Island.

Probably would've been awesome.

Sitting through the parts before the highway scene can be painful. But from the highway scene on the movie was fantastic.

No. The film really only stayed interesting to me when Sentinel killed Ironhide. I hated the Highway Scene and still do. All it did was remind me that the Decepticons were going to still be shit.

Totally opposite for me, and I don't mean it to sound flippant. At the highway scene I realized it was going to be a chore to finish watching the movie.

Nah, it took off when I saw Carly's ass.

Seriously though, that was the one of the first exciting moments in the film for me.
