No, not the trees! If Prime has taught us anything, it's that Trees are obscenely powerful weapons against cybertronians! They're our best line of defense against hostile transforming enemy robots!

Chucked in the trash without a second thought. Optimus gives not any number of shits about dead TF, brave Autobot comrade, ex-Decepticon that sacrificed himself, nobody.

Optimus probably shrugged the parts off and then kicked them out of the way like a turd and that was as much attention as he gave them.
Autobloke in everything but name.

He was given a glorious funeral where everyone sank to their knees, bawled and begged the gods to give him back.

Well, at least that's what he deserves.

In honour of the eternally glorious Jetfire, I present to the TFw2005 boards my tribute to this greatest of SR-71 Lockheed Blackbirds.

In all of Cybertronian history, there have been many heroes. We behold Sentinel Prime, who returned Cybertron to glory with the power of the Allspark. We witness Optimus Prime fighting to save the planet Earth from the Decepticon menace. We have seen the Autobots fight to the end to combat their foes to spare the innocent and keep the universe free of tyranny.

And yet, no hero quite holds such boldness in the face of battle, shows such intelligence in recounting the history of the Cybertronian's grand race and certainly shows such self-confidence and dramatic charisma as this; the ancient Decepticon Seeker, Jetfire.

Born to serve the Primes, he loyally and personally obeyed the commands of he who would become the Fallen. But when the old Prime's treachery became clear, Jetfire went against all he had known to stand against him and oppose his tyranny. Despite the loss of the Matrix and the other Primes, Jetfire remained, hidden away upon the very planet the Fallen sought to end.

When restored in the present day, he showed great adaptability and courage in an unknown time, astounding tolerance despite the spinal-cord based organisms that tainted his glorious presence and true respect for the father that transformed into nothing. With dignity, damn it.

Despite his age and lack of Energon, Jetfire's amazing ability of teleportation provided his new companions the edge they needed to reach the location of the hidden Matrix, and his grand mind recalled the secret to finding the relic, the great relic that would restore Optimus Prime. When battle erupted, he heroically defended his charges against the dreaded Mixmaster and the terrifying Scorponok. Not even the fatal wound of the arthropod ended him, and Jetfire showed great courage in mortality's grip and uncaring in the wound upon him.

Ultimately, his aid in locating the Matrix yielded the life of Optimus Prime, and Jetfire made the momentous decision to end his own life to provide Prime the power to destroy the Fallen. For all his long years as a mere Seeker, he brought true honour to his history with courage, persistence and sacrifice.

We all bow our heads in acknowledgement of he who allows us to behold his eternal glory, hail his courage against the warmongering Decepticons and respect his decision to end his own life to allow the survival of our lives. In this, we give our thanks, and pray he will rest in peace.

May he fly forever, the eternal glory of Jetfire.

Knowing Optimus, he didn't give a damn.

Jetfire is probably still in Egypt somewhere lying under the sand.
