Pain & Gain was a passion project and Paramount said the only way they were going to make it is if Bay also agreed to do TF4. They got him by the balls and squeezed them hard. By the kinds of things he said before and the way he said them he quite clearly didn’t want to come back for a fourth film, but he also wanted to get Pain & Gain made. Cynicism aside, I think TF4 will be Bay’s last Transformers film as director. |
