It doesn't matter what Bay does....his movie universes just plain suck.

I'd accept a reboot. Wait 3-5 years from TF4, then it will be prime season to infuse the franchise with new publicity. If I may be so bold, I'd like to the "robots in DISGUISE" angle used more this time around and more characterization from the transformers all around. It's not that I hate the movies, but hindsight is 20/20.

However Optimus has the special ability Hyper Cutter which negates Growl.

Whatever happens, someone will bitch about how its not *insert favorite generation here*. personally though, id love a reboot, get someone who can tell a goddamn story on board, a director who doesn't suck, and less scrap metal in the bot design and id be happy with just about anything. also put goddamn Unicron in

Kaymac's Super Special Awesome Rules For a Transformers Reboot:

1: Reduce the cast down to the size of TF1. This way all the characters can receive characterization and have good moments.

2: Tone down the CGI. If your designs are causing a computer to catch fire, you should try a different approach. 30,000 pieces per robot is cool and all, but at the end of the day it eats up rendering time, and a lot of people find the designs jarring too. Designs like Classics and Alternators could work in Live Action, just make the textures resemble the ones in the Bay movies.

3: Make the Decepticons as much in the spotlight as the Autobots, and make them formidable enemies like in TF1.

4: Plan ahead. Plan for sequels in advance, so you don't wind up killing off characters you will need later on.

5: Actually think while writing. Don't think because it's a big dumb popcorn flick you can just stop writing like an intelligent human being and wind up insulting the intelligence of many people watching.

6: Look to TF1. It was the best in the series for many reasons, and a reboot should look to it for inspiration.

7: Work closely with Hasbro. They know this franchise, and the kind of movie they want to come out of it.

I'm indifferent as to whether or not we get a TF4 or a reboot, so the reboot-minded side of me looks longingly into your eyes and whispers: "My bro."

I agree with everything on this list. As for #2, I'm a fan of the complex designs, but yes, more akin to a live-action TFP level would be stellar; a good mix of complex and simple.
