They don't know what comedy is...they already tried to make the first 3 comedic...they just failed at it.
If TF4 was based on TFP somehow, no one would recognize it as a TF4 or Bay movie because of the quality
i did a thread like about this, check it out http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-prime-discussion/581557-tfp-live-action-movie.html
+ Similar direction, very similar characters (bumblebee, jack), similiar style also in terms of the use of music... its a TFmovie cartoon. Hell, they quote entire lines and steal entire shots from the movies in the first few episodes of TFP. My point is: Theres nothing to gain from a TFP movie, because it would be same as we have now, just probably alittle less interesting.
I thought that Di Bonaventure already stated that the next film would not contain as much humor; that it would be scaled back from previous films? If there's more humor, and it's family oriented, then they may as well do a cartoon. It would seem odd IMO, to completely revamp the tone that the live action films has set. This stuff is serious for crying out loud: Giant robots are here to kill us all, and there's nothing that we can do.
Who said this? The guy said if he started over he'd have Nick do it. That doesn't mean Nick is going to be with TF4. And on topic- No Prime movie. Can't see it working.
And you don't believe that's possible? Try getting shot at with an anti tank rocket or seeing an MRAP flip in the air, then come talk to me.
I am well acquainted with IED's, EFP's, RPG's, RPK's, recoilless rifles and AK's, thank you. I didn't always have the luxury of traveling by MRAP either. Well acquainted with weld-on armor, sand bags, and Kevlar blankets too. Three trips to the hellhole gave me quite the education on the capabilities of various weapon systems and platforms. Save your lecture for someone else. I contend that advanced alien robot lifeforms are in all likelihood constructed from advanced alloys that render them impervious to kinetic weapons. Thus, the military should be ineffective against larger robots, posing a threat only to the likes of Frenzy and Ravage.
I like that statement Unfortunely, for the movieverse cybertronians, most of then have no decent outer armor protecting their mechanisms, be it joints or more inportant parts even... But then again my main complaints with the movies was the sheer ugliness and the fragment alt mode when the robots transformed (I like to see lots of kibble on my bots in a way I can look and know straight away what kinf og vehicle they turn into). So I only hope that if they take anything from Prime... please design concepts, less gunmetal colored skeletions, more bulky armored robot like cybertronians with more of the alt mode present in robot mode. The rest... It will be a movie anyway, can´t ask for much.
well as long as bay is director, the difference btw a pg and a pg 13 is severe. Dont ever think you will see robots ripping each other's eyes off, shooting them directly in the face, ripping off face into halves or plain right blowing heads up in a PG transformers movie. Bay went as far as including red "blood" for tf deaths lol. Just saying.
While just robots get really bloody and dismembered I still think it feels forced so I don´t even core for the violence aspect Same for TF Prime.
