What i was trying to get at that dinosaurs as they are, DONT look stupid on screen, with real life people. This is evident with the JP series.

As for the dinobots as characters like they are in G1, i would have serious doubts, especially as 5 of them. (most of them being herbivorous animals too!)

 

No matter how much I like the Dinobots, I don't think they will fit in the film. I don't think the other animal transformers would work either UNLESS they can make an exception like Ravage for example and Laserbeak.

 

I don't understand the exception bit, but I do kind of agree. The difference is, the Dinobots filled a niche in G1 that the others didn't have. You had the general badass (Grimlock), the strong, dumb, loyal soldier (Sludge), the heavy weapons master (Slag), the general basic warrior (Snarl), and the flight expert (Swoop). Looking at the others, you've got Prime, Sideswipe, Ironhide (previously, expecting Bulkhead in the next movie), Bumblebee. The only slot open would be the flight expert, and they could easily just throw someone like Springer in there if they wanted it. Unless they make the next set of Decepticons all around bastards (hey Overlord, hoping to see you soon), then the Dinobots aren't really needed.

 

The exception bit is that they only do small animal transformers like they did with Ravage and Laserbeak, not big ones like the Dinobots.

I would just have them turn from (military )vehicles into Cybertronian things that look like dinos(see Scorpanok, Ravage, and Lazerbeak).

 

if they went with a style similar to what we've seen in fall of cybertron game I think it could work just make them bigger like a metallic Godzilla

 

The question should be why is it so hard for Michael Bay to understand how to make a TF movie.

 

Why is it so hard for fans to see that their perfect TF movie is not other people's perfect TF movie?
