When Dylan reports that the Autobots are alive and in Chicago, he and Sentinel are on the roof of the building. His next scene is when Carly approaches him, he is lying in an alley. What happened to him in between? The novelization says Sentinel threw him off the building into the alley. In that case he shouldn’t have been seen alongside Sentinel when he was being deposed. |

But of course there's scene of that in the movie, so there isn't really much of an answer other than "he walked and stuff". Between "Decepticons, defend the pillars!" and Megatron chillin' in the alley, it could've easily been 1-2 hours between those two events. Plenty of time for Megatron to scale down the building and wind up in the alley. | |
