There was a toy of DOTM Powerglide released, which gave him the alternate mode of an A-10 Thunderbolt II, his original G1 form. (Powerglide (DOTM - Transformers Wiki)) I don’t see anything really wrong with it, but I could suggest a better mode.

MBay has got a nice sleek Gulfstream Grumman II jet in his possession (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grumman_Gulfstream_II); it’s appears in DOTM as the jet in which Mearing takes Sam to the Xanthium. I recommend he use that for Powerglide.

Honestly, I want Powerglide to be some old fashioned stunt plane. He is supposed to be small, out gunned, and beat oppodents through aerial maneuvers and dogfighting. While the A10 is awesome, I think a fast plane fits better then a big gunner.

You would condemn the great Powerglide to rot as an unarmed, dull and not very interesting passenger jet as opposed to one of the most unique and awesome looking things ever.

Something more civilian kind of fits the Autobot theme better, but then it's really hard to pass up the A-10 on anything given it's cool factor. So no I wouldn't be all that upset if they went with the A-10 and we got a cool toy out of it as well just as long as it would fit in with a Transformers Prime collection.

Yeah, taht was my thinking too. I thought of making him a Cessna at first, but decided that was too common and too light for an Autobot. I wanted a jet mode that was stylish and fast for Powerglide.

But I didn't know that was the aircraft that bombed Scorponok. It would be awesome to see that in action as a Transformer.
