Would you like Joss Whedon to take over?

Based on the rave reviews Joss Whedon has been getting for THE AVENGERS, would you like him to take over from MBay on a TFilm?

Hell Yes,

He's great with charecters and story like Firefly and the Avengers.

I coudl see him having a Optimus Prime whose a young commander with a dark past, Ironhide can be Jayne, and damnit we'd get another kickass Arcee from him and have a Starscream much like Loki.

And you betcha he'll keep Alan Tudyk as Dutch for the series.

Sure, I would love *insert Latest-Guy-Who-Just-Directed-An-Action-Movie-So-We-Should-Automatically-Suggest-Him-For-The-Next-Transformers-Movie's name here* to take over. Obviously he would do a great job!

Fifty fifty. There would be 60 percent more quoatable scenes... so... that would be cool.

No way. As much as I love all things Whedon, he has no place directing the Transformers franchise. Writing on the other hand...

No. Let Whedon do Whedon things. Not every director or writer anyone has ever heard of needs to get a crack at Transformers, and while Joss is great at writing dialogue and long storylines that are actually worth following, I don't think the character tropes he seems to favor mesh well with the Transformers mythos.

I wouldn't mind reading a whedon-tf story or two, but no, don't want to see him at the helm of a show or movie.

I wouldn't necessarily be for him doing a TF movie (though, I might not be against it - haven't given it much thought).

I do wish the writers/Bay had taken a page out of his book on how to make characters matter, and how to build a story around characters.

Oddly enough, I find myself agreeing with you. Destiniy is truly ironic.
