Really? Sure the series has a lot of fans but it has no shortage of detractors. DOTM is the same way, tons of people hate it.

The Avengers gets next to no hate at all and has near perfect scores in both critic and audience approval which is more than either of those two can say.

Sure buildings were shot, cars exploded but in the end I just didn't feel it.

At least in DOTM I actually felt a threat and sense that the scale of the threat was large and actually had the potential to destroy chicago. And plus the mothership didn't even appear in Earth which just wasn't good enough for me. Whedon held back the main threat nly to [spoilers]nuke it before it reached Earth[/spoiler]. That just weakens what could have been a good alien invasion.

Because of this DOTM was just amazingly directed. The destruction was realistic and not "safe" - people died on-screen, Chicago was torn to pieces, jets were shot down and the streets were not safe. In the Avengers the aliens flew past and went "pew pew" and the police were on the streets.
Trust me, with Thanos coming, they sure as HELL won't have it easy next time

Just goes to show why he won't even touch Transformers.
Something tells me he would rather work on a movie with potential rather then help a franchise like Transformers out of the muck.

No I would not like for mr. Joss to take over TF, and because I don't wanna create another thread on this issue, I'll say it here: "this is a Transformers forum, and I come here to read about them, not about a superhero movie, or how well it's doing." -- rant over.

"Got some energon?"

I'm sure you'd be all for talking about it here if Avengers had bombed though.

It's a few threads discussing stuff and how it relates to BayFormers. It's not like it's scattered all over the boards. I'm sure you could easily avoid these few such threads if they really pain you so much.

I wouldn't -- to to clarify your assumption. And yes, I've started to avoid said threads. And yes, I was hopeful DOTM, wouldn't be beat . . . oh well. I don't have beef :-) "all is fair in love for the Transformers".

Why don't you knuckleheads get it through your skulls? Transformers and superheros are different.

No... They aren't. They are on a planet, after theirs was destroyed (Like Superman.) On a planet where the main species don't have the same powers as them. (Superman, Thor, Hulk I guess.) They are hidden for the most part. (Like a lot of superheroes.) And a certain series would like to have a word with you.

Ps. Also it's not nice calling people names.

Then we'll have to just keep finding someone who is interested in Transformers as a story.

You've hit the nail on the head with how stupid this kind of reaction is.

The reason that the Avengers is so good is not just Whedon's talent, but the affection he obviously has for the property.

The TF franchise desperately needs this for the movies. The Roberts/Barber combo on the comics has worked wonders recently because they love Transformers, as well as writing good comics.

Whedon has the talent, but unless he really loves Transformers, I don't want him, or anyone else near the property.
