I thought of Johnny Depp voicing Starscream since he's got a strange quirkiness that Depp plays well.

Helena. Bonham. Carter. Crazy psycho b**ch voicing Starscream. Admit it, it'd rock. :lol

*Yes, I've already voiced that opinion in the "Tim Burton Directs Transformers" thread. It's slightly off-topic now.

Sorry D.red I understand your unique perspective on things, but it would really be better for the franchise if the movies were handed to a person who's, by his own admission, sole goal in the films was not to spit in the face of its fans. Whether its Joss W. Or not that's harder to say.

Those arent just "anyones", those are the archetypes of bad directors.

Anyone means anyone. To say that counterexamples to an absolute statement don't count, specifically by their nature as counterexamples, just highlights the bullshit of the original statement.

The sad thing about the internet. Things that should obviously be a joke are just as likely to be said in seriousness. Especially in the Movie forum, about Michael Bay.

    WHY DO YOU HATE AMERICA?!?

Did I say anything about wanting Bayformers instead?

    No. I said I didn't want Whedonformers.

That doesn't mean I endorse Bayformers. Nor does it mean I hate Bayformers. Not wanting Whedonformers has no baring whatsoever at all with Bayformers. It's not an either or.

And it's not like Whedon or anyone else taking over as director would somehow and suddenly erase every single Bayformer thing ever, like some magic spell for you.

So, next time someone says something, take it to mean -exactly what they say-.

Kevin Smith: Wouldn't finish the script. Wouldn't finish the editting. Would just toss it up as is, and insert comic geek jokes and a Stan Lee appearance and call it a day.

Did I SAY Sarah Michelle Gellar? I SAID Buffy. Read what I said. Actress =/= character.

Whedon does just five characters in total. His 'Buffy' (which can be replaced with 'River' or 'Black Widow' for examples) is identical to -every other character of that archetype he does-. IE: Buffy, River and Black Widow are so identical that they can be dropped into the other works, replacing their counterpart, and beyond hair color, nothing would substantially change.

Now, if the movie just had Scramble City combiners, Whedon may be an...interesting...choice. Five characters per team, Whedon only writes five characters total, it adds up! Of course, we'd be seeing the same five characters in each team, so they'd be looking alike very quickly...

100% behind Whedon doing a TF movie. Holy balls that was incredible.

What about Alien: Resurrection and Toy Story? He wrote those movies and didn't direct them and so far he's only directed two movies including The Avengers.
