While I agree with that logic I'm also slightly concerned that BayFormers will eventually run the Transformers movie franchise into the ground and by the time Bay and Paramount decide they're milked TF to destruction it'll be too damaged for anyone to want to pick it up again afterwards.

It's maybe kind of the best time to change director and format while TF movies are still pretty successful rather than try and revive it with a reboot and new director after it's been driven to bomb by going back to the BayFormers well one time too many.
Maybe this new direction TF4 is supposed to be taking will freshen things up but I kinda feel it's probably just going to be a quick spritz of Febreeze on the same old smelly pair of BayFormers underpants. And by the time Bay is fully done with them and the public can't bear to experience his underpants anymore no-one else will want to pick up the ragged sweaty soiled TF underwear and try to wash them or take them to swap for a new style pair.
Autobloke in everything but name.

Lol, I was going to say, "Why put the word RANT in the subject?" They're all rants anyway.

Sadly the Hollywood mind set seems to be to run something into the ground. Even when a studio can see that a little work today could extend a franchise they go for the quick buck today and someone can deal with the problems another day.

On the bright side when franchises do get ran into the ground the revamping of the series often means some big and substantial changes. At some point they will drive the live action Transformers movies into the ground but since Hollywood is rather devoid of ideas one day they will resurrect the series as something far different than what we are getting now.

It almost certainly will be run into the ground to the point where the concept becomes unprofitable cinematically. And then it will get rebooted down the road. This is a successful trend to maximize value, and one that isn't going anywhere.

What impact will this have on the brand as a whole? Probably not a whole lot. Sure, the brand won't have the attention that the movie franchise has brought it any longer, but Transformers has survived an unsuccessful theatrical release before, and action masters, and beast machines. If those couldn't keep the brand down for more than a year or two, this too shall pass.

This.

Enough ass-clowns gave up their hard earned cash to see these pieces of shit he made, to the tune of BILLIONS, and so now we're stuck with him.

The "fans" have only themselves to blame.

Hasbro and Paramount bet on catering to the general audience instead of "the fans", and it has turned out to be a smart movie in pretty much every important way.

Maybe for $$ making it was a good move,
As far as moving making goes; I think the movies will ultimately be very forgettable. The avaerage movie goer probably doesn't specifics, or characters from movie to movie.

I bet you if you asked a non fan who Devastator, Barricade, or Blackout were, they wouldn't remember which giant robot was which.

Some probably think the helicopter bot was the same one from the first movie.

I think people (the non fans) will forget many of the characters in the Bayformers. Characters in the Dark Knight, or Thor, or Spiderman will prove to be more memorable in the future.

If that's a flop, I can whip up some shitastic scripts and hope I get a flop too!
