| I vawnt my berdt. Join Date: Oct 2009 Posts: 7,351 Location: Alberta, Canada Collection Count: I lied. Maybe 75. News Credits: 10 | I'll copy my ideas here... VERSION 1: Bright and “Trippy” Overall Feeling: The bright colours and production design would help sell the more “alien” feel to the movie. Visual Effects: Used a lot, and used expertly. Transformer Design Possibilities: Very bright and vibrant colours for both the Autobots and Decepticons alike. Casting Choices: Johnny Depp as a cooky, crazy character - Cybertronian or human. Deep Roy as Wheelie. ![]() VERSION 2: Dark Overall Feeling: Dark and gritty. Many scenes would take place at night, or in dark places. Visual Effects: Used sparingly, but very good. Transformer Design Possibilities: Designs would be very dark and gritty. Lots of dark shades, grays and deep blues. A "dull" palette overall. Steampunk. Steampunk EVERYWHERE. Casting Choices: Christopher Lee as Megatron or The Fallen or some other big bad. Good chance that Johnny Depp and/or Helena Bonham Carter would have more serious roles, either human roles or as Transformer voices. I wouldn’t put it past Burton to cast Helena Bonham Carter as Starscream. In fact, now that I mention it, that idea is rather intriguing... Either a male Starscream with her deeper voice, or create a female Starscream (not Slipstream exactly, but Starscream...as a female). Hmmm... Either version would probably be met with animosity by the fandom (but that's pretty much unavoidable) and either version would be very financially successful. |
