did anybody thought Megatron face would had been fixed without explenation?

Just curious, before we got to see Megatron design from Dark of the Moon, did anybody here thought that bay and the writers would had ignored Megatron damaged face from ROTF and his face would had been fixed without any explenation whatsover?

i myself thought Megatron face would had been fixed during the gap from ROTF and DOTM, was surprised when i saw that they kept his damaged face
Check the Transformers/Marvel continuty

Stop Motion/Fanfic

I kinda assumed it would be, but I'm really glad they didn't.

I don't think it was ever really relevant to me. Characters randomly heal themselves all the time.

I never actually thought about it. The characters in the movies look different each time, so I just expected some sort of change.

I suppose many people assumed it would be fixed, but it was nice bit of continuity between the two films. That said I'm not much a fan of parts of machines that can't be repaired 'just because', like Bumblebee's voice.

Megatron and Bumblebee's injuries don't look like stuff that can be repaired easily. A shot in the head, a damaged voice box? That's bound to take time to fix up.

In Bumblebee's case, Sam said in ROTF he was playing it off. I don't know what that exactly means, but I assume he was relying on radio clips to take it easy on his voice processors (he was seen speaking in TFilm1 and a deleted scene of ROTF - anyone know where he actually spoke in DOTM?).

In Megatron's case, he took a shot in the head. There were Doctors crawling in his head trying to repair his BRAIN, Ihow're they going to get in/out of there unless he leaves his face open? The idea is to repair his internal bits before handling the external surgery, so it works. And anyway Megatron makes a great Two-Face Transformer .

Lol! You're happy that Megatron, leader of the Decepticons was a hobbled, and crippled mess for the movie?

Personally I thought that was the biggest failing of DOTM. If they had eliminated Sentinals story and made Megatron the main villain of the film, it would have redeemed the movie franchise for me in a big way.
It's just another reminder of how screwed up the Bayformers universe is, where Megatron can't even be portrayed as a decent villian.

They're robots with advanced technology. That $hit should have been fixed in half an hour. That said, Ratchet must be the worst medic ever not to have fixed Bee's voicebox over the span of the movies.
