Title says it all. Why do you not enjoy or like ROTF? Was it the humor, the action what!? I loved ROTF. I really don't see what was wrong, so what are your thoughts on the things that ROTF lacked and needed to be different.

The plotholes, the plot, the lack of plot, the attempt at a plot, but failing to make sense in a plot.

to answer the title, NOTHING. ROTF was perfect, but the butthurt stupid Bay critics disliked it and called it the worst movie,so everyone thought twice and started agreeing with them. I never did. And now it's happening with DOTM, as will happen with Transformers 4. It's a curse i'm afraid..

I mean what plotholes? Of course you'll find them in every movie. It was a decent plot, I understood it perfectly

Right! These critics like the little boys with keys (Hugo) and they just don't know a good action movie when they see one.

The drag. It's just so badly paced and bogged down because of redundant additions. Most of the college scenes were unnecessary. Devastator was unnecessary. Leo was unnecessary. The romantic TELL ME U LURV ME subplot was unnecessary. The final fight scene was anticlimactic and too short. A lot of the robots felt like damn background props instead of characters.

I can enjoy TFTM and DOTM, but I just get bored when I try to re-watch ROTF. Every non-TF fan I know's main complaint about ROTF is that "it's too long."

Personally, I loved it. However, I do take points off for the sexual "humor".

Not enough scenes with the Transformers and not much focus on them either. It was mostly humans....

my friend (he claims he's a critic, but i highly doubt he knows what he's doing) says ROTF was the best plotwise while DOTM was the worst. i have no idea what's wrong with him.

ROTF was awesome!!! The plotholes, if any, aren't really noticeable when watching the movie and it's fun action, like it's supposed to be. If it weren't for the critics, ROTF would be more accepted as it is. Hell, a lot less people would think the Twins were racial stereotypes, another point I don't understand, if the critics kept away.

It seems to me that dotm is even more boring, because between the early battles in the movie and the chicago battles, nothing compares to the huge fights going on in rotf. "the battles end. the war begins" my ass. the "war" took place in rotf. but everyone had an opinion.

I agree to an extent. after all, there were WAAAAAY more human scenes in DOTM than in ROTF after all. but both movies are good nonetheless

It just needed a REALLY huge dialogue polish, a scene trimming, and more humor moderation. Exposition scenes were clunky, and a lot of the college/run around in Egypt stuff was unneeded. Shoot, Leo probably only needed to be in two scenes in the whole movie. And too many sex/off-color jokes that didn't fit with the tone of the film.

Wasted potential. Devastator/Constructicons and the Fallen were MASSIVE, massive wastes; an utter shame the coolest thing they did was supposedly fry the computers used in making the actual film.
Then of course there were the whole "Megatron wants to become a Prime" and implied "the Fallen was revered as a GOD" subplots that were ignored/hastily written out.

    And that's about it, really.

    ROTF was a worthy sequel.

    1. Starscream didn't lead the Decepticons, not even for a bit, despite the after credit scene in the first movie building him up.

    2. The Matrix just so happened to be in practically the same desert as the harvester?

    3. Only a Prime can defeat the Fallen, but instead of jumping him, the 7 Primes decided to ALL use their bodies to seal the Matrix.

    4. Optimus dies and comes back in the same movie, killing Jetfire for no real reason other than to make a power-up mode that..once again, had no real reason (Prime flying..not a good reason, imo)

    5. Leo.

    6. Multiple Constructicon clones (this bothered me personally)

    7. Being the 2nd movie in a trilogy and it ended with the bad guys NOT victorius.

    8. Female Autobots not needing an explanation to be in this movie, but for one to be in the first one would require too much time explaining?

That's about it for now... I'm sure I'll come up with more. It wasn't a bad movie to see in theatres, but I can't go and rewatch that movie and enjoy it as much anymore.

I think that "dropping the ball"/"wasted potential" is the best way to sum up my overall disappointments. I enjoyed it, but the more I watch it and compare it to the (relative) greatness of the first movie and DotM compared to it, RotF just saddens me. :(

On the most basic surface level, the things I disliked the most was all 1 minute and 58 seconds of the movie, consisting of 1.) dogs humping 2.) dogs humping again 3.) Judy on pot 4.) Simmons' tuchus and 5.) constructicles. Take those five things out of the movie and I would've enjoyed it exponentially more. There's more that I would've changed (and not in the "So-and-so should've been in the movie and this 10 minute sequence should've been in the movie and no humans!"-way). But I won't go much deeper than that, as then we'll have even more essays in this thread.
