DotM Razzie Nominations 2012

Seriously? DOTM doesn't deserve to be nominated for all of these. What a joke.

The Razzies have always been a joke. They're not meant to be serious.

They are a spoof of the Oscars, and therefore not taken seriously.

I liked when Hale Berry went there and accepted the Razzy for Catwoman. At she can handle a joke.

Exept she thought the film was crap and was sorry she ever signed up.

I'm sure that didn't stop her from cashing her paycheck

I remember when Rambo 4 was nominated for like 5 Razzies. Just goes to show that whoever is in charge of those is a pussy, because Rambo 4 was pure unadulterated badass.

Well, it barely deserves its Oscar nominations, so...

DOTM was an objectively bad film, so it makes sense that it would get nominations in the awards for bad films. If Bay showed up in-person, that would be even cooler.

Hm. I understand not liking the movie at all, but there's a point where hatred clouds judgment, and to say it didn't deserve nominations for visual effects or sound mixing and editing is just stupid.

It was a subjectively bad film. I and others like me have no problem with you disliking it but I do take issue with the attitude that your opinion = fact. It doesn't.

That being said, I agree with Turok. To say that it didn't deserve at least a visual effects nomination is ludicrous, regardless of what you may feel about the rest of the movie.

I'll agree with this. I am not by any means a huge fan of the movies, but I did think DotM did at least deserve a nod for visual effects. While I thought the plot execution was abysmal, the special effects and CGI were top-notch, as would be expected from ILM.
