I expect TFP to run 3 seasons if we're lucky, taking us through the end of 2013. Again, if we're lucky.

If we're not lucky, TFP will end at the end of the coming season.

But seriously, at the same time, we've been able to see 30 years of interest in the brand, and even if the reinventions are not so great, they still beat having nothing and they still have elements worth remembering and applying to future incarnations.

As long as they take their time making the next movie. Giving prime time to run and giving them time to plan a great movie I'm totally ok with 2014.

 

I have no problem at all with a TF4, but yeah I'd be a little worried the 30th anniversary would turn into little more than the half-assed 25th anniversary (an Optimus reissue and the 25th anniversary foil stamped on some packaging of toys that were coming out anyways).

 

This is my big worry as well. If this is due for a Summer 2014 release, it sounds like they are already behind schedule. Next thing you know, they'll rush Bay, and he'll walk away, leaving Paramount to find an 11th hour replacement, rush the storyline, and farm out the CGI to 3-6 other FX houses cutting down on the quality.

 

Its gonna happen.


Just out of curiosity, why do you care if it happens or not? If you don't want to see it, don't see it.
Unless you're wanting a reboot, which would be fine with me. I'm okay with either that or a continuation of the current trilogy.

I honestly think its a little silly for haters to flip out at these articles. "NOO!! Not transformers 4! Screw bayverse!" I don't think anyone should flip out till its actually confirmed. for now, just enjoy prime. I would love a TF4, I'd love to see where they take it. Give some new villains like straxus overlord or banzaitron.

 

I am happy actually. My only fear is that a different director might actually go with the fans and make them look G1. I like the look of the movieformers they make sense.

 

A 4th Film in 2014? Good tie in for the 30th Anniversay of the Franchise.

Thank GOD. Now people can stop making those stupid "when is TF4 coming out?!" threads, although to be honest I haven't seen a new one recently. Still, at least the movie forum has something new to talk about.

Also, the fact TF4 is two years away means no pressure on upcoming lines, so Generations/FOC shouldn't have the same issues of previous "sandwiched-in" off-movie year lines.

I can't wait for a TF4 personally , I love the movies and they are the only reason why I love transformers today, without them I wouldn't even know who Optimus prime was/is (that's how bad I was) for that reason the movies have become so important to me and I don't want them to stop any time soon

 

As long as Prime is allowed to get it's three full planned out seasons, and as many toys as it can, I'll be ok. I won't be happy that this shit movie-verse continuity would be continuing, but I'll be satisfied that Prime got what they planned out. If they don't, or can't, continue Prime afterwards, I'll either move on to whatever new show they make, or go back and start filling out my RID collection a bit.
