Decepticons had been to the ship to get the pillars, they could have suicided any stasis survivors.

I'd imagine that when your in a war, or really any situation where death is constantly present, you would become accustomed to it over time until it gets to the point where it pretty much seems like an average day in life.

Plus, Prime needs to keep it cool for the other Autobots. If he panics about the situation they're in, they all do. If he stays courageous despite the dire situation his team are in, so do they.

That's another good point.

Maybe if they had been good friends of Optimus he would have cared about them as well.

I really don't think the Matrix is really picky over who it revives or not.

I wish Prime and Ratchet too the time to see if it'd be possible for any other Autobots to be recovered. Who knows, maybe a fan favorite was among the wreckage?

"We have discovered an ancient device, split into countless shards and hidden among seemingly harmless children's toys. It is them who hold the future of our race. If the bioelectric energy they give off during play and attention is transferred through enough of these action figures, it will fuel our race, and reanimate heroes and friends long thought lost. If not enough of these fine Hasbro products are sold... WE WILL ALL DIE FOREVER."

Optimus is a dick and Ratchet made M.D. with the aid of a degree mill.

Seems Legit.

Kinda wish we saw Ratchet check one, find that they're dead, then discover Sentinel's still kicking. Yeah the Ark was lost ages ago and nothing implied anyone aboard survived, but you'd expect some sort of inspection instead of making a bee-line for the crash vault.
Again, they're dead. Yes, having Optimus kneel down next to one and shake his head would've added worlds to his character, but there's a lot of dead 'Bots around him and there's only 2.5 hours worth of the movie! If they were alive, you can bet that something would've been said/done about the situation.

Actually, based on the plot, that's exactly what was/is expected of them to do. This isn't a rescue mission to try and salvage random dead Autobots from a crashed ship years ago. This is an imperative mission to locate Sentinel/the "technology" before the Decepticons learn of its location, which, after all, would mean "the end of your world".

That's another good point.
And this. Does Gibbs (from NCIS) constantly break down whenever a naval officer is found dead? He deals with this almost every day for years. Is he saddened? Probably. But he doesn't need to be sniffing and wiping his nose every episode. In fact, it comes across almost as cold, but it's not "I don't care about the dead", it's "another life lost, can't save them now, let's find some justice". His character is very Optimus-y in my opinion.

Because CGI is expensive and people don't like sitting through 4 hour movies.
