I was watching Evangelion all of these past two days when I noticed that Starscream's head resembles an Evangelion.

although it might be coincidence being based on G1 Megatron's bucket head. What guys do you think ?

 

I was thinking his face resembles a sort of Samurai helmet.

Not sure what Evangelion's influences are, never watched it, but most other Japanese mecha shows and designs hail back from this era in Japan (like Gundam and the original Transformers), so it's possible that character used the same idea.  

 

His head reminds me of the UFO in Independance Day. Anyone remember the scene where they walk into Area 51 and you see the front of the UFO? Compare that scene to Starscream's head front view.

 

I can kinda see the resemblance to the EVA's from Evangelion

 

Yep. Now everytime I look at Eva I'll see a dinosaur cosplaying as Starscream.

 

To me it looked like a helmet of sorts but not an Evangelion. Thank's for pointing that out!!

 

If I recall well, mid-way through production IML decided to make Starscream's head based on a Samurai Helmet [to differentiate from Megatron, it seems] thus the similarity you see.
