Woah, Mirage looks...funky. But I guess it confirms he's the ferrari. There's no other reason he'd be red, unless it's a red herring.

 

This would also confirm that Wheeljack isn't the blue Mercedes, if the comic is accurate. I'm wary though, as Magno usually comes up with his own designs if the character in question isn't in the movie. I'd say the fact that Wheeljack is drawn the same in both Foundation and Rising Storm gives it more legitimacy, but Shockwave has the same non-movie accurate design in them as well.

I do hope Wheeljack is in the movie, and that he looks like he does in the comics, though. I love the design. And Mirage, well, I'm just glad to see he has his invisibility gimmick. The cloaking effect could look really cool in live-action, if he is indeed in the movie.

Also: Mirage as the Ferrari? Makes sense. The G1 character was always implied to be formerly part of Cybertron's "elite/rich prick" social class, so even if Movie Mirage isn't at all like that at least he turns into a car made for elite/rich pricks.

 

I like that as a updated version of Wheeljack. Wish we'd get a toy of that.

 

I'm throwing a tantrum right now, But I've got an idea to work with this.

I'll buy a Generation Wheeljack, And use my sholder cannon Bumblebee (I don't really like it. Then customize it with the bumblebee boby and Wheeljack head to look like that.

 

looks to be confirming the two guys as being in the film albeit ferrari has a different head as does wheeljack. Sentinels head and body is way different than what has been depicted so far, I'm confident wheeljack and mirage will be in the movie, kinda bummed the ferrari isn't Rodimus

So, while you are not saying uncreditable things about a toy and making random statements of impossible logic involving sums of money that should never be associated with toy collecting, the fact you are going into tears simply because a CARDBOARD FACE is not going to have the name you want puts your maturity level on par with transform27. I'm still not 100% convinced Mirage is the Ferrari. Art aside, those wheels look pretty knobby, almost F1 which fits the G1 mold. I would say he's possibly the red Nascar since they use similar tires. The chest area even looks like an F1 racer. Sure, it's possible they reformat..

Anyways, the Wheeljack head has enough similarities to be made with the head-on-a-stick we saw.. The red head-on-a-stick? Not so much.

I think we may be missing the most important point here...OH MY GOD MIRAGE HAS NEVER BEEN THAT AWESOME BEFORE.

If that Mirage and Wheeljack are in the movie...or even if they aren't...and they get toys, I'm buying them and they'll go with my rather sparse Movie 'bots collection. And if Mirage gets a toy AND a good MechTech lightsaber, that will become my favorite toy overnight.

Even Magno can't make those designs suck too much. More important, the character concepts. Wheeljack as a British commando-type and Mirage kills you with a lightsaber? Geek-gasm.

 

Shoot, I hope they get HAs.

 

I don't care if Wheeljack is in the movie or not. He's a cool charecter in G1 and Prime, but I cannot see him fitting in with the Bayformers.
