I had such a fan boy hard on for loving this movie for a year before it came out. And then when it did....I don't feel like MB raped my child hood or anything, but I was so dissapointed. Its funny though, all the people that I work with thought it was amazing, and I just shake my head.

Similar to what happened with TF1 once it was released on DVD, I don't hate ROTF as much as I originally did now that I own it. It's not that either movie got better upon repeated viewings - they just became less irritating once I had the power to skip over everything that I consider to be boring filler, thereby making them a bit more enjoyable.

I think its because TFTM was so incredibly awesome that the second had to measure and when it did'nt, it was immediate failure in my mind and since then i put the movie in its rightful place so its a mental thing, when your measuring up to such a great movie as the first one was its a big standard.

Alot of movies that have a middle story kinda lack a bit. example star wars attack of the clones ( very disapointed when i saw that), Back to the future 2, but when you watch them in their sequence and understand the whole story it makes it better.
