Im into polls now for some reason but of these who do you want to see more of in TF3 considering that they return (not making any predictions/wishes) Personally, I want to see more Jolt and I'm sure there are others that agree. Oh, and I included Ironhide and Ratchet in the poll because they didn't get much in TF1 or ROTF so if you want to see more of them you can choose.
I fully expect a bigger role for Soundwave, so I hope Ironhide gets the spotlight he deserves. TF1 gave him a nice character overall, though ROTF shafted him big time. I actually want him to die, sacrificing himself for the cause against an army of Decepticons.
I myself think that this is ridiculous, but some people are saying that they think that he died in ROTF because you don't see him closer to the end. If you looked harder, I'm sure that you'd see him somewhere showing he was alive (not you specifically, I mean anyone). I guess it's just like the Arcee & Elita debate whether they're dead. But yeah, TF1 started Ironhide off but I think he could have gotten an even better characterization so I added him to the list of improvable characters.
Those people obviously didn't look very hard. His last line was "Get up, Prime!" so he definitely survived. Actually I semi-recant my statement. If Ultra Magnus is included in TF3, I would want either him or Ironhide to die, not both. They are both heroic, powerful characters and we need a death with an impact.

I'd say Jolt, but he just doesn't feel like he'd be a worthwhile character. As I understand, it was basically a last minute addition at the request of GM. I don't think they put much thought into what kind of personality he'd have when they did the character design. He doesn't seem like he rounds out the team or fills a niche. I would say Sideswipe or Soundwave would be a better choice. You know any extra time they get would be worthwhile. Sideswipe is far more cinematic. That design lends itself to all kinds of dramatic action sequences. And Soundwave, well he's Soundwave. That's an important role. I think the most we can expect for Jolt is a line or two, then they'll either kill him off or put him in the background to make way for new characters. He's sold his toys and served his purpose.
Soundwave, with Jolt as a somewhat close second. I would absolutely love to see Soundwave in bot-mode on the big screen. It would also be nice to get a better look at what his color scheme actually is. I honestly can't tell if he's supposed to be black, dark gray, or dark blue. Would also be nice to see him interact with Megatron and Starscream. Maybe have Megatron compare Starscream, the disloyal bot, to Soundwave, the loyal bot. I also really like Soundwave's voice, so the more lines he has, the better.
I still wanna know what Jolt looks like. I went to see the movie without glasses or contacts so I was fuzzy on details. I've seen enough concept art for everyone else to know what they look like but not Jolt. Only his big whip whip zzzzzzz scene and his general appearance.
Jolt Jolt was severly underused in ROTF. He had an awesome robot and alternate mode, cool abilities, and could've had some cool characterization. I definitley want to see what more he's got in store. Arcee got a fair few lines, and even though she was killed off, I don't really want to see much of Chromia. Sideswipe needs to be one of the core Autobots for TF3, but even he got a few lines in ROTF. Soundwave got good characterization in ROTF, he just needs to play a more crucial role in TF3.
Jolt did nothing, partly because he was such a last minute addition, which means he can do or be just about anything next time around. Besides, I want to see what else his Jesus-Whips can do.
Ironhide will probably die in Transformers 3. The GMC Tootpick went out of production, didn't it? I'd like to see him go after a big showdown with Starscream (who's listed as his arch-enemy). It'd be an badass fight and confirm they're both badass (Starscream was rather weak in RotF).
