A-Listers for the Robots

Ever get the feeling, that if the robots were voiced by A-list actors in the movie, they might have had more than... 3 lines (at most) each?

Obviously the cast they got are veterans when it comes to voice over work, but the average movie-goer wouldn't have a clue who most of them were.

As such, I don't think Bay or the writing staff thought it was necessary to give them much character, or screen time, or dialog.

I don't know if Michael Bay would bother getting A-listers on board to voice giant robots who would most likely only appear for a few scenes and barely say 2-3 lines each.

Thanks SmokescreenGT for making this sig!

Although it wouldn't happen, there are some good "famous" actors that would make great voices for Transformers.

Christian Bale- Prowl
Liam Neeson- Ultra Magnus

Christian Bale was in "Howl's Moving Castle", so he's not really against voice-overs if the script is good. It would never happen, it's just my opinion.

I personally think the movie's voice cast was nearly perfect.

I don't think any A-listers are against doing voice work. It's good money and an extra credit for something they can often do in an afternoon's work.

In general I think professional voice actors are a much better way to go.

The robots are already expensive enough and you want expensive voices for 'em?

Good thinking!

Proud fan of Bayformers!

Optimus: Ebert, you picked the wrong movie. Give me your face! (reveals that Ebert was really the Indie boy from Slumdog Millionaire)

I'd be worried that a big name star doing a voice would overshadow everything else.
Looking for:

Not to mention that your budget would get eaten up by the A-listers

My Feedback
