Hmmm. its difficult to assess, as he never comes into contact with other Autobots or Decepticons to compare, but yeah, in G1 he seemed a bit taller and bulkier than most Autobots or Decepticons, so did his G1 toy when compared to most Transformers, and in ROTF he gives that impression...although his toy figure is not that big.
frankly, the only other bot we saw him with was ravage, and that was for a brief stint of time. ravage (in his ball mode, or whatev) seemed average in size compared to soundwave, shaping what would be his 'chest'. soundwave's chest is larger than bumblebee's head and ravage is about the size of bumblebee's head. since chests are slightly larger than heads (for tf's at least), and ravage was the size of soundwave's chest, soundwave would be slightly smaller than bee...weird
do a size comparison of how big ravage is, and how big he was when he came out of soundwaves chest and that should give you an accurate idea
I think it's safe to assume Soundwave's about Prime's height. We saw how big Ravage was when he was ejected, and then against Bee. Soundwave's about 34 feet.
Since I don't know the size of the satillite he was supposedly attached to, Ravage is the only reference point, and from what can be seen of that, it makes Soundwave no larger than any other Con.
