The Twins didn't bother me as much as they did some people. But I'd have much preferred Breakaway over them. Or Jolt. Or a bunch of other things that didn't need to be in the film.

He's my favorite character in the game. And he's the only RotF figure I've picked up just because of that.

If Breakaway was supposed to be in the movie it's kinda a shame that he was dropped. He seems like a rather cool 'Bot in the game. As my brother put it he's kinda like a Jazz with wings.

I can't help but be curious here, but were there ever plans for a RoTF Sunstreaker?

Orci said Sideswipe and Sunstreaker were in the treatment they wrote and gave to Bay right before the strike. Bay later turned them into the Twins and kept Sideswipe.

Maybe they cut out all the flying Autobots because they didn't have time to explain how Autobots could fly, since Jetfire was originally a Decepticon and later became an Autobot that explains his reason.

Probably they couldn't fit him in. and since he turns into a military jet he looks a lot like a decepticon

I would have wanted Breakaway rather than the twins. There was a disturbing lack of robots in that scene with the planes taking off from the carrier. It would have been awesome if Breakaway found out the Autobots needed help and took off with the other human pilots.

I'd say they're probably just rolling with the Autobots=automobile robots mentality, despite the fact that they call them Autonomous Robots in the first film.

I don't think they've even shown Decepticons flying around all willy nilly. Yeah Blackout, Starscream, and Megatron do. But Brawl, Barricade, Ravage, Sideways... they all seemed pretty grounded. Even when being chased or chasing someone else.
