you know what is a fantastic idea? that quote right there!! The human TF interaction makes it plausible especially since it would be able to conteract intrusions by other TF's like soundwave into the worlds networks.

I also like the idea that the ARK could be the last remnants of Cybertronian history left and it was buried millions of years ago on earth during that whole farce of a story line from TF2. It could have been a second repository or history linked to the allspark. This also makes the name arc more meaningful. Return to the Golden Age of Cybertron anyone ?

Well, there's probably lots of rogue Decepticons still kicking about across Earth. Teletraan could be constantly scanning for those.
Will Sam have access to a map leading to this one too? :p

How about Teletraan be an Autobot who flies into space to fight Soundwave? (I'd already thought about making Cosmos fight Soundwave though, hang on, we like three way fights don't we?)

I think Teletraan wouldnt fit in the movieuniverse too well. Maybe a reference would be enough, but featuring it completely. i guess it wouldnt be necessary.

Wouldn't fit how? A Transformers computer which relays information to the Autobots isn't exactly unrealistic if that might be your reasoning. Sure, a passing mention is fine, but I don't see how it wouldn't 'fit' the BayVerse if given a role expanded beyond that.

I don't really mind. If they make it like the G1 show then no. If they updated it and made it look cool then yes it's okay.

Its not that it wouldnt fit. Actually, it would. But in the G1 cartoon, Teletraan 1 was a plot device that helped simply to fulfill certain needs of the story. In the movies, the Transformers are fully capable of figuring out and filtering tons of info by themselves with no or little help...Frenzy was only aiding himself with a laptop from time to time, but they had been scanning the web for years...

Soundwave was hacking the military networks by intercepting their signals. The Autobots also gathered info from the web. They were doing all this by themselves. They seemingly had no need of some huge ENIAC-like computer to filter info even if its source is tremendously enormous like the web. Maybe just dividing the load between several Autobots or Decepticons is enough to get the job done.

Of course, a civilization so sophisticated as the Cybertronians would have very advanced computer systems, nothing unreal with this. But as it is shown in the movie, their capacity for computerized activities without external hardware assistance is formidable, so Teletraan would be a bit redundant and unnecessary in the movies.

Teletraan has less character than Mojo, so no.

Teletraan-1 was a sentient AI that ran the computers. He had far more personality than you give him credit for.

In Heavy Metal War for instance, where a dumb machine might just sound an alarm when it detects an underground intrusion, Teletraan kept wisely quiet and woke up the Dinobots which allowed them to spring a primitive trap.

I don't know if Bay does... but Bonecrusher certainly does.

Many possibilities. There are so many, but thats pretty good.

    Yet another great option.

I agree, I think its time too! Make it think and talk and Teletraan's your uncle! Thats a play on 'Bob's your Uncle'...in case that wasn't clear enough. :D

Ha ha ha, thats funny! Ha ha ha heh :lol  ..sigh, wait a minute...really? :inquisiti

    My thoughts exactly.

Well, I see it as TT1 isn't biased, that sounds cheesy, but the Autobots are very much about all beings living in harmony and help those in need, Decepticon or otherwise, TT1 probably has the same trait when it comes to the species as a whole. :2c:
The only reason TT1 didn't do the Autobots was that Thundercracker obviously didn't want the Autobots fixed and obviously TT1's repair beam was fixed, not roving. :)
In the end, its a plot device that does a good job explaining why they look as they do, whilst keeping it simple. Sure, they could have had both ships crash seperately and had TT1 fix the bots and the Decepticon equivelant fix the Decepticons, but this was probably easier. IMO.

Plus, as a side note, they seemed to forget in later shows that their Cybertronian alt modes were different from their Earth ones showing Starscream as an F15 and other TFs in flashbacks based before their arrival on Earth, as Earth vehicles. Whoops!

I don't miss it. You could throw it in for nostalgia, but if it never makes it I won't care. I wonder how many Decepticons a Movie Teletraan could really discover though, considering Bumblebee didn't (did? Will this ever be clearly explained?) even realize a Decepticon/alien robot of any kind was sitting right on his front passenger seat.

I'd like to see space bridges though (joint human/Autobot force jumps through a space bridge to get to Cybertron and take the war to the Decepticons? Random thought). Use it better than that brief snippet with Jetfire in the second film.

Knowing Bay and his love for small Transformers, Teletraan will more-than-likely be an iPhone.

Let's see the existing characters with some spark of emphasis, and then focus on new arrivals, shall we?

And Teletran would be pretty useless, imo, in the movies of this era.

What about him being a dying Autobot, whose AI or Spark is loaded into a US Military Mainframe to help assist Nest and the Autobots.

Of he could be the first attempt by Humans to create an AI. The Teletraan Project or something.
