As some know but not all the scene where Agent Simmons and the crew find Jetfire was filmed at the Smithsonian's Udvar Hazy Center of the National Air and Space Museum right outside of Washington DC at Dulles Airport. They have an SR-71 Blackbird on display there. The same one used in the movie. I visited again for the 2nd time the first time being in May. Well they have a bunch of Jetfire Leader Class Prototypes on display and props from the movie, right next to the Blackbird. See below....

If you have a chance to see the Udvar Hazy Center do it, not just for the movie props and the fact that Jetfire is there, but the place is amazing they have the Space Shuttle Enterprise there.

That is actually really nice. I'm glad to see that Transformers can be displayed proudly next to some of the most legendary machines of all time.

I'm actually surprised that MP Starscream isn't there.

That G1 Jetfire should be under double lock and key. :D

Yep That is combined Jetfire and Optimus Prime. Udvar also has an Imax playing Transformers so you can see where they filmed some of the movie then go watch it. fun

Very nice, I was in the US recently and wish I'd gone there instead of the Washington air museum. I like how the exhibit compares the Autobots and the Decepticons to the USA and USSR, since IDW's G1 comics initially portrayed their struggle as more of a cold war.

So, Wheelie is a modified monster truck version of a Ford F-350 (possibly a customized Tomiya F-350 High Lift), with the axles and wheels taken from either a Tomiya TXT-1 or an HPI Wheely King.

It is outside of Washington DC on the west side across the Potomac RIver in Virginia. The National Air and Space Museum has so much stuff that they built the Udvar Hazy Center in 2003 to show all of the historic air and space artifacts. The Enola Gay is in there the B-29 Superfortress that dropped the first atomic bombs on Japan, also an entire Concord jet, and SR-71 Blackbird (jetfire), the Space Shuttle Enterprise is there too. I was told by volunteer at the National Mall Air and Space Museum that the Enterprise will be given to a Museum in the States and they are getting on of the current Space Shuttles when they retire them. Space Shuttle Enterprise never went to space it was used for all of the design testing, it was going to be converted when the program got going to fly in space but budget cuts stopped that so now it is a museum piece.
Pics coming of the rest of the museum.
