I didn't feel bad about Jetfire. I felt he died honorably.

As much as I hated the twins going in, I actually felt bad too when I thought Mudflap was gonna die.

But.....did Jetfire actually die? What I mean is, the excuse for Ratchet being unable to do anything for Jazz who was merely split in two pieces, while legless Bumblebee is in primo condition for the end scene of Prime's speech out into the stars, is that they couldn't save his Spark. Jetfire, damaged, ripped his own glowing Spark from his body, it didn't dissipate, and wasn't shown again. Perhaps that's reading too much into it, but when (in the first film) they expect you to see Ratchet zap Bee in the throat at the Autobot introduction then because of that be able to speak slightly because of it at the end of the film (though I associate that ability with coming into contact with the Allspark - look what it did for Frenzy after all), and the fact there are no unintentional cg renderings (its all done with purpose), it says to me Jetfire could make a comeback in TF3 in a new body.

You already have a catchphrase. :)
Jetfire's spark in Jazz's old body. Imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth on messageboards. :p

You just know Bay would pick AzzFire for his new name.

Bay: "It's got Ass and Fire in it! It's like it was Fated for one of my movies!"

Yeah, except the latter have characters who are developed and you grow to like them. ROTF only had a few.[/QUOTE]

    Sure I read it.

But I am not convinced that Bay "created" the twins, nor am I convinced that he had Arcee killed to satisfy some weird conflict he has with women -or possibly motorcycles.
I am not even sure Arcee died.

Also, about 75% of the toy catalog from G1 would like to have a word with you about their character development in the cartoon and comic.

The movie felt like it was 3 movies fit into 2h 1/2. First part felt like a real Transformers sequel to the 2007 version. The second part started around when the Fallen arrived on earth and did his worldwide speech and when they popper up in egypt. It felt like a Indiana Jones/Mummy movie where they go on an adventure to find the artifact. The last part started when Devs and all the other cons showed up, it turned into a Pearl Harbor like war scene full of melodrama and slow motion/explosions. Funny enough, the melodrama was not even centered around the bots. Sure Bay you had twice/triple the amount of bots in this one, but cameo-like presence shouldn't count. It sucks we had to wait and anticipate for about 2 years for this end result, even with low expectations, i was disappointed. :(

Personally, I think the things that the first one had over ROTF was that it was more balanced in terms of pacing. Not to mention less confusing. In the final battle, you could tell that there was only one Brawl, one Blackout, etc. But in ROTF, you have seemingly dead or combined characters appearing without explanation. It kind of distracts the viewer from the experience.
