What if it had been Ford, not GM?

Me either! Lets not care together!

OT: BB as a Mustang would've ruined my childhood. I owned a Camaro when I heard TF07 was being made and got all giddy when I heard BB would be one too. Now, if only he'd been a 1992 model like mine was...

    I miss my car.

This wouldn't have affected Prime, right? He's a Peterbilt, which is separate from GM.

I wouldn't have wanted him to be a Mack. Those Peterbilts are beauties. Every time I see one that's close to or identical to the one used in the films, I say "there goes Prime!" I've even got my older daughter doing the same.

If Ford had supplied the vehicles then Optimus would not have been a Peterbuilt. Ford would most likely have made him a Mack as Ford owns Mack. If they kept him a Peterbuilt they'd just be advertising for the competition. Optimus is a Peterbuilt now because GM didn't have a comparable vehicle. All they have is the Topkick and the Kodiak. But I agree, the Peterbuilt trucks are some of the best looking trucks out there.

If it was Ford, the product placement would be even more horrendously obvious, at least GM can, or could, draw from various 'brands'.
Seems to me though, a drowning company like GM was a bad choice anyway.

Being in Australia, I'm only familiar with the Ford lineup here, so I'll add a picture:

Since Peterbilt isn't a GM brand, Prime should be open for any brand so I'll omit him.
