Oh didn't you get the memo? Viewings tend to drop after 4 weeks! :thumb

Don't you see it? It's a 200 bucks movie that made 740 millions in around 28 days, the first one needed nearly 4 MONTHS to make 720 according to boxofficemojo, hell even the toys are selling better than the first according to research people. You can call this movie bad, you can call Bay a lousy director, you can do all that and with right due to being a sentient human, but it's just madness to say that it wasn't a success!

p.s. sorry if the boy thing offended you or something, after watching the movie i started calling people 'boy' and 'kid' alot more, you can blame hugo weaving's awesome voice

Most people probably were disapointed and are calling the movie crap because their standards were too high.

For me, I simply did what I did last time I saw TF1: The desire to see robots kicking each other's asses, Soundwave doing something awesome, Megatron/Starscream banter, and the Twins to prove that they were awesome characters dispite looking uglier than my neighbor's pug.

I was more than satisfied with what I got in ROTF, and I'd go see it again (although the no-robots involved parts were a little wonky, and Alice's character in the film was pointless).

But you seem to think that simply because a lot of people hate it, therefore the movie must suck, right? Nope. Even if a lot of people really. REALLY hate a movie, there will be those who think it's great. Take Twilight for instance, possibly one of the most ABYSMAL movies I've ever seen (someone bet me $50 if I could sit through that crap, any amount less and I wouldn't have done it), and yet I could name at least 20 people I know who think the movie was worthy of Oscar Awards. Point is: simply because people say it's bad, doesn't mean they're 100%, as they'll probably leave out important details about the things they hate about the film (a very nortorious and infamous part of ROTF, which got a LOT of people angry and distressed over, lasted less then 10 seconds.)

I don't know about crank up, but if you're looking for some fans to crank off... wait, I'm fairly sure finishing that statement would get me slapped.

My word, I start this thread before going to the movie and now look at it. Sheesh, the people on this board need to do at least one of two things.

    1)get a life
2)stop taking this so seriously. If your name is Michael Bay or you worked on this movie in some way, I can see you guys getting all out of sorts if someone doesn't happen to like this movie.

Well, I saw it and I really didn't like it. The first one had that awesome feel to it and I watched it a few times since, but this one I have no desire to ever view it again.

If your friends and critics said it sucks then why are you wasting your money? Do you have nothing else to do but be a troll?

I agree even if they had to do it as some special unrated director's cut of the film so kids could see the PG-13 movie at theaters but we'd have the special one for at home.

Man do I ever miss nudity in films. Seems like there used to be boobs in films all the time now there is hardly a film boob to be found anywhere.

Money just means people went to see it, it doesn't mean they liked it.

In the movie industry, you pay first and then you get to see the movie - if it sucked, you don't get a refund, they take your money anyway and then other people look at the box office numbers and go "look, there's a direct link between making alot of money and making a movie alot of people enjoyed."

Remember, two years between films gives enough time to the people who skipped the first one to go back and rent it, which adds to the audience of people who will see it a second time.

Fans often attribute the bigger box office numbers to people seeing it again, when there is no proof of that. It may just as well be people who hadn't gone to theatres to see the first one - and they might dislike this one too. But again, fans look at big numbers and think it means people are satisfied.

Most people didn't like Spider-Man, Pirates of the Caribbean 3, or the last two Matrix movies, but those made a lot of money too not because they were particularly well-liked, but because they were popular at the time.

I have no intention whatsoever on participating in this thread, and am indeed regretting that I ever clicked on it, but I just want to clarify the point that Orci and Kurtzman did not write Watchmen. That was David Hayter and Alex Tse.

I just want to preface this with saying that I did enjoy the movie, however imo it was not the most amazing thing | have ever seen.

It just seemed so commercial and lazilly organized. There are a lot of little things that they could have done that the general audience wouldn't mind, and appease the fans. Eg Soundwave in bot mode, voice modulator, continuity errors like the final battle, a plot with less scavenger hunting etc. I think that if they would have tightened it up a bit, they could have had a more solid movie.

I guess really, all Im saying is that I wanted to see GFR beat the snot out of eachother, and it delivered, just could have been better.

Look, just admit it, the movie was bad. Inconsistencies were blatant, The book was better. Jetfire at least sounded good in the book. Boo Bay Booooooo. (no pun intended)
