I just randomly picked the name Powerglide out of nowhere. Considering I see no relation from the names Blackout and Grindor (or if they are even the same character), I was trying to make the name as unconnected as possible.

For all I know, Jetfire's CGI model (with green beard) will be in TF2, voiced by Mark Ryan with all of Jetfire's mannerisms, and he'll be named...dunno...Menasor or something.

I had the same idea too, perhaps with a little help from Jolt. I am going to do this for my entry in the Design a Transformer Competition, but the upgrade in Alt Mode is a SR-91 Aurora.

Jetfire has a lot of potential, being an old Seeker and can fill in a lot of the blanks of the Autobots History. Bay may use other Seekers in the next Movie to fill the Role.

 

i think i have to side with everyone with the fact jetfire is dead. sure the spark seems to be intact but optimus did go on a joyride with the new parts and got it half blown off during the fight with fallen and megs.

hrm maybe they could recycle the parts and make a transmutate like in beastwars
