I think Starscream is a likely candidate to bite it next movie.
But Ironhide is the one I expect to get killed in the next movie. The reason is he can be used to really give some weight and dramatic heroism to the movie, or so I hope. If Ironhide just dies and that's it. I'll be very upset, but even an Ironhide fanboy like me can accept his death if it means something. Like if he were to die trying to save Optimus or Bumblebee.

It wouldn't suprise me if Ratchet bought the farm too, since he's be the one character with the most missed opportunities within the movie series.

You guys got a hard on for killing main characters? I don't think they should kill any of the characters established from the first film. I honestly don't see a point in it in the least (at least until the 3d film's story and plot are revealed to the general public). At least, when concerned with the main Autobots and Humans.

Decepticons I don't mind so much about them getting killed off, unless their Megatron and Starscream (Soundwave+Minons, and Shockwave). Other than that, their a dime-a-dozen given that they tend to outnumber Autobots all the time. That and I'm always interested in seeing what other Decepticons they can introduce into the movieverse.

 

They already did that.....and he came back.

 

If he wants emotional impact, given how this stand at the moment (ie without taking into account development of character that could happen in TF3) one of Bumblebee or Starscream.

 

I could definately see Starscream having a death that's not necessarily emotional, but dramatic, like if he goes out fighting Megs to the death, and he keeps getting back up even though he's mortally wounded. It'd be in character, and would be cool to see.
While I hope it doesn't happen, Ratchet would be an obvious choice as well. Take out the medic and the rest of the soldiers have nobody to heal them, therefore making them more vulnerable.

 

Ironhide will probably die in the 3rd one, early on too.

 

Why does anybody think that the topkicks fate has anything to do with Ironhide. Ironhide and every other transformer in the last two movies have never been for sale. They are all either concept cars, heavily modified, or military. To this day you can not buy any of the cars from the movies. The limited camaro BB will be the first and their might be more later. Still there is no reason to think Ironhide will be killed for that reason.

 

I don't want anyone to die (except for no-name decepticons, they are there to be killed) but someone has to go to give the movie emotional weight. If that someone is Ironhide, heads will roll.

 

Ratchet and Ironhide are easy targets because of the end of their alt-modes fabrication. Ratchet could go taking, let's say, Shockwave with him. Ratchet could die saving the Autobots, and Wheeljack would take his role as medic/inventor.

 

They will probably kill off or maim Megs AGAIN.
