Well Roger Ebert agrees with one point.

I see nothing new on his end about the reviews. He still dislikes the movie, which is fine, and his response to the email there was full of acidic sarcasm. Nothing's changed, here, folks.

Though I must say, he's kinda making it hard on himself by feeding the trolls. By now, it's clear that the people have spoken and what they think of the film. It's also clear what he thinks of the film, and neither side will change their mind, which is fine.

So... I'm not sure what good will come of this if this bullshit continues.

I think he's a silly man for responding at this point, because he's just becoming like us in terms of tactics and he really should rise above it. As for us? I think we should all shut the fuck up and leave the man alone. We've shown our asses enough at this point. Right now, we're just making the fandom look bad.

Keep in mind, he gets paid (quite a lot, I might add) for every word he writes.
Doesn't matter how much hate mail he gets; he still makes his money.
The movie is popular, it's in the public consciousness, and it makes sense to write about it while people are interested.

Ask yourselves, when you're old and get cancer, won't you wish you could make a few thousand bucks off of writing a couple of paragraphs about Transformers?

This is more like some sort of tiny dead horse and man inside of a regular sized dead horse and both horses are beaing beaten at the same time.

Agreed. Its weird how apparently talkin shit about RotF will cause fans to point out imperfection in physical appearance, rather childish (as opposed to offering a real rebutle)... Wheres all the uber moral code possessing folks that was in the autobot x pill thread?

Furthermore, I find it funny that the person asking the question negates RotFs shortcomings by mentioning its not made for the Academy Awards.

Seems to be a catch-all reason for no one to be able to point out the not-so-good aspects of the movie without fans attacking.

Though a great, fun, and very entertaining film... The "group think" vibe of some fans is creepy!

Wait, I don't remember him jumping on the 'racism' bandwagon in his review, he had plenty of other things he criticized.

I don't get why people are taking his review so personally. Critics write reviews to aggravate as well as judge because it gives them more press. He hardly cares what people think or even notices the nerdrage that has been going on. He just sees more $$ as he gets more and more traction... As if trolling movie lovers made him income... (which it does)
