How did The Fallen escape his sarcophagus?

Ive read descriptions and outlines of the comics, depicting how The Fallen was sealed in a sarcophagus and then it was put on the Nemesis and crashed on one of Saturn's moons. But how does it get from that to The Fallen sitting in a throne waiting for Megatron, though weakly?

Could anyone fill that plot point for me?

Originally, the Fallen was banished in another dimension. Megatron communicated with him threw an interdimensional window. It was the Fallen's face, distorted by the window, that inspired Megatron to create the Decepticon symbol. The Fallen would only be able to come back when the Sun Harvester is located. When Megatron and Starscream find it inside the pyramid, The Fallen teleports on tope of the pyramid, at full power, and joins them.

So the act of Megatron finding the Harvester allows the fallen to join our dimension? But Megatron visits him before then, in full body form..

The sarcophagus was dropped from the film. According to Orci at Murphy's forum, The Fallen has been on the Nemesis since the war with the Primes ended. But it was a plot device that survived long enough to appear in the novelizations and adaptations, and even in those it's not well handled: it appears the very act of finding the harvester frees The Fallen from his interdimensional prison, which is certainly why it was deemed dodgy and dropped.

It's not a plot hole, it's not canon. The sarcophagus does not exist in the 'film only' canon.

I have no idea why they changed that either, since it seems to make less sense with the Fallen just sitting around as if he had always been there, supervising the ship, or whatever. Was he supposed to be strained to his chair by that one tube that he destroyed once Prime was dead? I got the idea it was some sort of 'final lock' for him to finally get free, but it looked so flimsy..

wow, what a horrible way to imprison an entity you dont want to harvest suns, set him free when his minions find a sun harvester, LOL

So he was exiled to his ship once they hid the Matrix from him and he sat there waiting for someone to come along and find it for him?

Movie comics just don't jive with the movies. In the TF1 comic prequel & sequel, Arcee (as one robot) was present and much unlike her ROTF self. In the ROTF prequel comics, the shard that was ultimately used to revive Megatron in the movie was used to revive Wreckage. Just a few examples with many more evident when comparing comics versus movie.

In the end, the comics should just be used to explain a few things not presented in the movies. Any inconsistencies is mainly due to the fact that IDW isn't given open access to all of the movie making process, especially when doing movie comic prequels while the sequel is in early stages of development.

how the F@#$ does a prime dying unleash him from diabetic shock. I mean really that is the weekest arguement for a large movie plot gaff that there is.

THE FALLEN equals horrible plot from the get go. Then add michael bay to it and you have horrible plot with horrible direction = horrible plot holes.
