In the desert scene a helicopter flies over the heroes. We see the top of it but it never transforms. Was that supposed to be Blades and a teaser the Protectobots are coming or was it just a helicopter?
Can't be sure right now. It makes no sense that a helicopter like that would pop up in the Egyptian desert like that. Maybe it was an error, or maybe it is meant to be a homage to Blades. Let's check back in a couple of months. If by then Hasbro has released a repaint of Blaze Master as Blades, it is highly possible that copter was in the movie as a weird way of product placement..
It was just a helicopter. They may have been having a little poke/homage to Blades with its colour scheme.
Oh? was there a protectobot helicopter in 360/ps3 game? Could count on hasbro to do something with that helicopter type in the toyline though. I really appreciate what they do with the seemingly normal movie vehicles like stockade stratosphere and Longarm
Oh, I didn't play the 360/ps 3 game so I wouldn't know. Oh, there were a lot of Transformers with little screen time so one just being in vehicle mode wouldn't had been to far out of place.
What? Why not? Of course there would be a medic chopper en route. It's a major battle scene, the Americans are on the coast with battleships right nearby in the gulf. You're telling me it makes sense for the soldiers to have mobile rocket vehicles, Abrams tanks, humvees etc, but a medic chopper is out of place? It was not Blades, or even a reference to Blades. Jeez.
okay, i'm confused. are real medic choppers for the military colored like that? because that would make a preeeeetty big target IMO. :/
I thought it could've been Evac. It wouldn't be the first time a Transformer has 'featured' in the movies in vehicle mode only. Landmine was in the first one.
Yes they are. However.....they are not supposed to be flying in during a battle zone while the area is still hot.
so there's a difference between Med choppers and ones used for extracting troops then? given the circumstance that the field was still "hot" then i'll hop on the Blades homage wagon
You'd be better off hopping on the "Michael Bay doesn't care about little details" bandwagon, because the main reason that chopper is there is because it looks cool. Nothing to do with homages, I guarantee it. This is Michael Bay we're talking about, not Aaron Archer.
How were we supposed to know that Landmine was in the first one? There were multiple vehicles of that same type.
It wasn't Landmine. Just because toys are made out of the vehicles featured in the movie, doesn't mean those vehicles are secretly Transformers (or were ever considered to be). It just means Hasbro wants to make some more money.
