Due the lack of any screen time for many of the robots, they should killed off some Autobots. Most likely Jolt, The Twins, Rachet and Prime...which would lead to new storylines and Robots |
No. Prime's the one Autobot with the most personification throughout the two movies. You kill him off, and you kill most of the robot personality development in both
TF1 AND
ROTF with him.

Where would the Transformers cartoon and Movies and Toys be right now if Prime never dies in 1986? The Cartoon would have failed. Optimus Prime dying was a great thing regardless on how sad it was |
*laughs* No, Optimus getting killed was anything but good for the franchise! The movie was mainly the tool Hasbro used to get the first and second season
TF's off the shelves and issue out new
TF's (Ever wonder why most of the Autobots featured in the movie NEVER SHOWED UP in both seasons 1 and 2?). Had Optimus survived, the cartoon probably wouldn't have taken the slow fall that it did (Rodimus SUCKED as a leader, being so whiny and self-doubting all the time). Here's some food for thought: if Prime getting killed in the animated movie ws such a good thing, WHY then did they have to BRING HIM BACK at the end of the animated
G1 cartoon?

Considering that Rodimus was some new character that almost from the start was the replacement for Optimus, and Rodimus Prime being horrible leader, I agree.
