    No but it was quite intense especially when Sam and Mikaela was nearing the troops that were waiting with Prime's body. My heart was ready to run a marathon after that one.

    darker than the first one as they show the death of Optimus Prime much more
    dramatic than the boring and emotionless death of Jazz in TF1.
    But overall it is another popcorn movie with much comedy parts.
    Really dark movies are the new Batman movies, Terminator Salvation.

    The movie was definitely darker compared to the first, but I don;t think the movie was "dark".

    there was plenty of light in the whole movie...didn't u notice they were in Egypt boiling in the hot sun...LOL

    Dark? No. Not really, aside from a few scenes. In fact, I found it to be a bit more upbeat and fun overall, compared to the first one.

    I think compared to the first it was a little darker, more emotionally charged as well, since we now know the main players and the bots have much more expression/emotion to them.
