Ok so I have seen this commented on in other posts but lets see what everyone thinks by numbers.....do you think michael bay should direct TF3 or would you want someone new or do you even care?

 

I think he's the right guy for the action, for the rest he needs help. And be put on a leash so he doesn't go out of control. Spielberg needs to be back as producer and if the writers stay, they need to up their game and keep the juvenile humor in check.

 

There should be a limit on how many threads of this nature are allowed to exist at the same time. I feel like this is the 5th time I've answered this question today. And once more, Bay should stay. He's done a great job.

 

I like his style and humor. I think he's the perfect guy for the job.

 

He was perfect guy for the first two movies. However, I would like a fresh start to the third movie. If Bay directs it (which he will) I can't see him topping Revenge of the Fallen. Both Transformers movies have the same feel to them. A third film by Bay will be no different. It will probably have even more potty humor that will ruin the feel of the film a lot more than it did to RotF; he's already said he would like Leo to have a bigger role in the next movie. He's under the impression that more is better.

Remember, Transformers is all about change. RotF repeated the first movie's formula. What can Bay give us in a third movie that we haven't already seen?

 

He definitely should. Throwing someone else in for the third in the trilogy would just make it feel really weird.

Plus, fanboy outcry or not, Bay is perfect for these movies.

 

I think that is up to the writers. I've just now read an older Q&A, about his decisions, how he axed Sunstreaker and came up with Skids & Mudflap, etc. Take away his complete creative control and let him do what he does best. Film **** blow up. Just have him behind the camera but keep him away from the script.

 

Why the hell do we need another one of these threads? Regardless of what the whiny fanboys think or want, BAY ISN"T GOING ANYWHERE! His TF franchise has grossed over $1 Billion worldwide in 2 movies. He will leave when he wants to. Accept it and move on.

 

I gotta agree on "why do we need another thread" comment. That being said, let Bay finish the trilogy (if he even wants too) and then find someone new for the fourth film.

 

That's the problem. He won't keep away from the script.  

Oh well, I'll still enjoy the next movie. I'm sure. But I doubt there will be anything in the next movie that overwhelms me.

 

Its like asking why do we need another jerk questioning why a thread exists....you can very easily just ignore the thread and move on but noooo you feel the need to make a comment on it anyway....which is perfectly fine and is your right to do.......just as its the right of any person on here to discuss anything related to transformers that they and others are interested in talking about......

of course any discussion or thoughts will proably not affect anything in the long run...thank for pointing out the obvious.......but if thats your thinking then more than half the posts made in this section would fall under your whiny fan boy theory........

so even though you can comment all you like....maybe its you who should stop "whining" about the thread content and go on and have yourself a happy day

Why do you guys balme Micheal all the time?
The writers have something to do with this too..

 

Gotta balance out the people that say things like MICHAEL BAY BROUGHT BACK TRANSFORMERS SINGLE HANDEDLY!!!!!!!! They love the movies and don't credit the writers at all, so hey, why should anyone else?

 

Keep him for the third one, for consistencies sake. Then, if more are to be made, get someone new in, and maybe a new writer or two. Maybe even start over with a new story line and new designs. The current one is getting a bit confusing as it is, what with all the comics and inconsistencies going on.
