A very big FUCK YES! from me.

I assume that Bay is mostly responsible for how these films turned out, and I love them the way they are (they almost feel very "G1" to me, what with the plot holes and the doomsday device of the week and the minimal character development etc. etc.).

Unless the third film is a reboot (which it's not :p  ) I want Bay and all the writers and everyone back, if only for continuity's sake. When Hollywood wants to do a reboot of Transformers, THEN they can bring in a whole new team.

    Bah, Bay's alright.

Besides, is there a series that picks up a new director for the 3rd installment and the 3rd is actually better than the first two? No fantastic and thought-provoking director is going to pick over the remains of Bay's robot epic, it's going to be someone who will make us wish for Bay again.

Jurassic Park. The 3rd installment was way better than the first 2 crap films.

Anyway, Unless the first 2 films were actually bombs and made way less money than expected, then paramount can say " Fuck You, Michael Bay! Your movies were crap and full of shit! You're fired and we are bringing in someone else!"

I want him to stay. I can't get enough of robots pissing and shitting all over each other. The one robot-to-robot scuffle a movie is pretty cool, bro. Maybe in the next climactic, twelve-second long battle, the Autobots can just sit in a corner while we're shown how SUPER DUPER AWESOME our own army is. You know, because the Transformers are the stars.

KEEP MICHAEL BAY! ANYWUN WHO SEZ DIFFRINT IZ A HATUH, DAWG!

I'd love Bay to stay and direct another one, ROTF was a dissapointment, but had very good things on it, it wasn't only Bay's fault, everyone involved screwed up at some point. I'd like to think the writers strike was the cause, since it gave little time to the writers to finish the script.

Bay is doing awesome at directing transformers. over a billion in gross income worldwide and in the US. And he doesn't write the movie. Orci and the 2 other writers are the ones who write the humor. And I thought the twins were really funny. They were a good idea in the movie

I think Bay nailed the first one but rushed around at the end and had some holes and errors in ROTF. Still... 2 was longer, more robot fighting, more favorite characters introduced, etc. and consequently I like 2 better. I'm a G1 guy!!! I will admit it.

Bay did get a little sloppy with the 2nd one though. felt rushed, bad editing, and of course those little Bay things you can do without.

I'd love to see him do the 3rd knowing he has to make up for some errors in ROTF. In which case I think he could really "NAIL" #3.

I think if they keep listening and bouncing feedback off fans (and negative critics) then #3 could turn out to be really awesome under the same cast of directors writers, actors, etc. By the way... i did like all the actors in this movie (except the mom in the school yard tackling people).

This movie is so big but also reviewed so negatively by so many, that Bay has no choice but to notice.

Which brings me to my conclusion. Bay should stay!!!

If someone replaced him... they would have alot to go on and things to improve upon. So if he isn't going to do #3 then I won't panic. But if Bay does #3... he will have a chance to make up for past sins and really make #3 and bad ass film.

I'm still 50/50 on the Dinobots though... that's gonna be tough to sell. For risk of stupidness, I say scrap the idea and just basically do a remake of the animated movie and make that the third installment. Take out the Dinobots, make some name and character changes and go with it!

I'll be posting more on my thought on why I think they should basically just remake the animated for the 3rd movie.

...I think I died a little on the inside. I personally wouldn't put those three movies ahead of their predecessors, but to each their own :p

    Bay should go.

I mean, there are so many brilliant directors here at these boards who's bound to do a better job !!

As long as they keep the movie designs and the level of violence, I donĀ“t really care who gets to direct the movie.

Dude, it's okay if you haven't seen either movie. You don't have to pretend to be cool for us. We accept you just as you are. It's perfectly okay to have an opinion on a movie if you've never seen it, really it's okay.

Bay doesn't listen to critics and he openly mocked DeSanto for bringing fan feedback to him, so I wouldn't hold out too much hope. The only thing we can hope for is for Spielberg to have a tighter leash on him this go around like he did with the first movie. Otherwise he's like an unsupervised child running wild.

Personlly I blame the scriptwriters for ROTF's mistakes I tink they added to much emotion to the bots.
