For the last two years I've served as a youth minister at an Episcopal church in South Carolina and have loved it. My kids (all middle and high schoolers) were sort of perplexed by my hobby, but they soon bought into it. We showed TF 2007 to them at our first lock-in and even did a religion and film discussion on the 86 Movie (you'd be surprised how much is in there!). I got them t-shirts with the scripture from Romans 12:2, having "transformed" written in the TF font. They love em! So why, you ask, am I posting this in the movie thread? Because of the picture below. This was taken when we went to see ROTF last night. That's me in my Prime helmet, but one of my kids showed up wearing the Bumblebee mask, gun, and (yes) the little kids costume! Another kid wore a BB mask, and I even gave a few of them some of my TF shirts to wear. The goofy guy in the yellow TF shirt is actually our priest! It was fantastic! We got plenty of stares, but hey, that comes with the hobby, right? Anyways, I thought you all might enjoy it. I'm certainly spreading the Gospel According to Transformers!
