From a movie lover perspective this movie fails on so many levels. The story is a mess with too many plot holes. Too many Maguffins 2 Allspark shards, a matrix, a boy with Allspark information imprinted in his head and a Sun Harvester. Its gone OTT with the comedy and there is too much humping, and balls!

A lot of things make no sense what so ever, bots diasppear and reappear conviently

Megatron told Starscream even in death there is no command but his but 3 secs later hes bowing down to the Fallen

From a fan perspective they disappointed me, we had fours bots comedy bots, Jetfire, Wheelie, and the twin idiots. Which took away time from the better Autobots. They could of got rid of the twins and Jetfire could of been made a better character. They could of kept Wheelie for comic relief.

A lot of things make no sense what so ever, bots diasppear and reappear conviently

The Fallen would of been a better character as a 3rd party who has no faction and is a danger to both Autobots and Decepticons. Megatron was made to look weak because of the presence of the Fallen as a Decepticon leader.

I could go on all day long.

Only 2 scenes really stood out to me Optimus Primes forest scene and Ravages first scene in the movie.

I know people have said its supposed to be a dumb summer blockbuster, but the amount of money they spent on it they could of told a more coherent and concise story which made me care.

No, I didn't. I won't beat up the movie anymore than it has been. I will just state that I did not like it. I won't be that excited when it comes out on DVD and I won't be that excited about the third movie. I just can't hang with this level of immaturity.

Parts were good, like Optimus being Jack Bauer and the opening scene in China. But the steady stream of stereotypes and cliches that extended well beyond a character or two really ruined it for me. Also, Michael Bay fails at telling a story. When Batman disappears totally without explanation during a scene with Commissioner Gordon, it's cool. When a 50 foot robot does it in the middle of the desert with no explanation, it's bad filmmaking.

I did, despite its numerous flaws, but not as much as the first.

Kudos to everyone for keeping the thread civil so far. Let's try maintaining it.

Absolutely loved it. I don't know what the haters were expecting. I, personally, expected a movie about giant robots beating the crap out of each other, hot chicks, lewd humor, great effects, minimal plot, cliches, campy acting.... and that's exactly what I got.

I didn't see any problem with plot or acting, but I guess I'm just easy-going enough to not make a big deal out of stuff :thumbs2:

I didn't like it that much (but some parts of it weren't bad i.e. Shanghai & forest battle scenes).

well a 77% like is pretty impressive. was it perfect? no. but i believe it did its job of entertaining the movie watching public as a whole, both in america and world-wide.
