There is no need to top the action. Bay can't. He shouldn't. He should keep it at the same level there. But, what if the movie started out with a dream that Prime was having of the day Megatron attacked, killed his loved ones, then he had to face him, Prime wakes up and has an in depth conversation with some of the bots about the war, the weight he feels, his insecurities. Then a lot of fighting because the Autobot compound gets attacked, middle of the movie, then the end of the movie is the final showdown. Like episode 3 light saber fight, but not so......silly. If the story was really focused on the relationship between Prime and Megs, and what the two sides stand for. Take it deep. Yet keep it funny and exciting. The movie would hold it's own in a critical way. There is no doubt that we could have a GREAT GREAT film!!!
If Bay is at the helm once more, the only deep thing about it will be the craters left in the wake of all the explosions
If robots in this universe can now hatch out of organic eggs, then anything is now possible. With that said, I too think Bay should not try to top the next one with just more explosions. It's good enough as is. What we need now is actual character development for the robots. The human cast has pretty much been covered in the last two.
A story that focuses on the war of the very characters the movie is named after and toys we collect? No offense taken, but why not? Really? How do they trasf.. are you seriously asking how? Granted, he does not have to replace brain fluid, but something could cause him to have a dreamlike event of memories while he is "sleeping".
Whoever the 3rd movie introduces, there is most likely going to be an epic battle between Megs and Prime. Depending on whether there would be another movie after # 3 (could there? I have no clue,) one must die. Yes, I am very obvious.
You guys don't get what these movies are about. Movie 1 - A boy and his first car. Just so happens that the story of his first car is also how alien life is discovered in the world. Oops. Movie 2 - A boy trying to grow up and begin his own life ... and realizing that becoming a man isn't about being on your own, but learning to rely on the important people in your life. Thus Movie 3 will probably be about loss, life/death, etc. The important thing to note is that the Transformers themselves are *NOT* the main characters in the movie. The humans are. It is their interaction with the Transformers that makes the movie as successful as it is, and how the audience eats it up. You take the human factor out of Transformers, and while you have a more "fanboy appealing" movie, you'll destroy the success of the franchise and turn off all non-uber-Transformer-nerds.
It's not really a war though it's Autobots and their Human allies slaughter Decepticons left and right while the Decepticons manage to do nothing but kill some human extras that don't even have a name. War would indicate that both sides have some chance at winning. Massacre would be a better description of the conflict so far.
