No, the OP basically recanted after he realized Jazz did essentially the same thing in the first film. I've seen four or five of these threads, basically started by people reading poorly done movie reviews or by guys who have no black friends.

As I said earlier, if someone's gonna moan about racism in this film, then I wanna know where they were with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when they were running round, yelling "KOWABUNGA DUDE! TOTALLY AWWWWESOME!". I don't remember anyone saying they were unfairly racially stereotyping white surfer boys. But the moment someone goes "Yo, yo, yo", it's automatic racist activity.

"Kowabunga Dude" is no more a white thing than "Yo, whattup" is a black thing. And this is coming from a black man.

The only way they could be seen as racist, is by the observer wanting them to be. Gut reactions. First impressions.

Don't let those be the deciding factor as to what the Twins are. They're just meant to be comic relief.

The answer my friends, is simple. Soundwave never swore. The twins did. And apparently, while it's okay for parents to swear in front of their own kids (And you're a pig faced lier if you say you never, ever have), so if their kids swear, who can the parents blame now? The twins of course!

Jazz had more "guts" than any bot besides Prime, too bad Megatron had to spill em.

 

I just don't understand how robots can be racist and/or a stereotype. They are green and orange GM cars that change into robots. If that's the case then somehow I'm offended by Ironhide's Clint Eastwood gunslinger stereotype.

Just say, 'the twins'.
Jazz was one of the integral group of the Autobot TFs IMO, all through G1 (well, some only until their murder) - Prime, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Hound, Jazz and Ironhide. Even Ratchet was less important to me.

Had they been stereotypes in speech and mannerisms and then been useless cowards or bad 'bots somehow, then maybe the incessant cries of "omg teh racist!" would have some merit.

As it stands, they may have spoken and acted in a stereotypical fashion (understandable since Autobots learn human speech from media and the internet), but they were freaking heros - never backed down, took on Devastator against all odds, and were loyal to Sam and the Autobot cause.

 

Because Megatron wanted two.
