Funny, everyone I know basically said if you took away the batsuit and Joker makeup you'd still have an intense, awesome, edge-of-your-seat crime drama.

People recognize good writing when they see it. They just don't get to see it very often lately, is all.

Well, that's great if you like drama. Personally I despise drama, I can't stand boring talk talk talk & no action. I don't care how the writing is, boring is boring! I wish I knew they changed genres BEFORE I went to see TDK. It's pretty shitty to change the genre of a movie from an action packed comic book super hero movie to a boring friggin drama. They did the same thing with the new Battlestar Galactica. And I bet they'll do the same to the new V series. So boring I can't possibly care about any of the characters, after the 1st hour & a half I was rolling my eyes & just wanted them all to die so I could get the hell out of the theater. The only reason TDK did so well was because of the Heath Ledger death hype.

I wanted an action packed sci-fi movie with my favorite alien robots kicking ass & Michael Bay delivered so much more than I ever dreamed possible. Totally blew me away. The critics can keep their boring Dark Knight drama crap. Now I'm afraid to go see the 3rd Batman film. What genre is it going to be this time? Romantic Comedy? Western? Documentary? Who knows?

Michael Bay knows exactly what I like, I trust him, I loved every one of his movies. To hell with the critics & their genre switching Dark Knight!

I can tell you, I didn't expect a TDK worthy story, just action and events to follow that don't make me facepalm every two minutes. Sadly every time there isn't a scene between Transformers fighting or showing the Military, I felt like watching a teen comedy on the level of American Pie.

I think you're confusing a soap opera with "drama". Practically any character development or conflict in a work of fiction is a manifestation of drama.

Batman isn't action all the time. There's years' worth of Batman stories where no physical violence occurs; Batman trying to solve a crime, or alienating other superheroes because he doesn't trust them, or trying to run some semblance of an actual life as Bruce Wayne, for instance.

I'm sure if the movie was making no money, and if the critics loved it, some of you would be spouting "See, the critics know what they're talking about!! Why isn't anyone going to see this awesome film!?! Listen to the critics! They're experts!!"

Devin from CHUD was probably drunk. He usually is, from what I can gather.

THAT'S their power. and that's why ROTF is selling no matter how bad it is. people are not listening. critics are like prophets. when what they say jives with what people think they're powerful figures.

    THANK YOU!

They even acknowledge that they only say 30 minutes but still use it to bash the movie.Olivia's excuse for why the movie sucked was that Galloway was talking about exactly where the allspark shard and Megatron's body were located while Soundwave was overhearing the conversation.

Um, no one knew Soundwave was in orbit, stupid. If they did, ofcourse they'd keep it vague. But they didn't. How is that a reason why the movie sucked? You only saw 30 fucking minutes!

I think they're just doing in to be like the critics and other tv show movie reviewers or hosts, cause it's cool.
